3 Style Hacks to Change Your End of Season Look
Feeling like you’ve exhausted all options within your wardrobe so far this season? I’m feeling you, there’s only so much you can do with that one favourite sweater, right? Or maybe not, here’s my easy go-to guide for making it through the end of season!
1. Style your favourite summer dress with a layered winter warmer like a turtleneck or white shirt- now add accessories like an opaque stocking and ankle boot.
3. Wear Pants Under a Dress – On the days when you’re favourite dress just isn’t enough to protect you from the chill outside layer a fab pair of leather pants or leggings under a dress to transform your usual look to street style smart.
The 4 Basic Health Habits I Swear By
I’ve generally considered myself to be a pretty healthy person. At one point not so long ago I may have even called myself really healthy! That’s until the C-word, and treatment for it, knocked me off my feet a couple of years ago. Fast forward to 2020’s gym closures and social restrictions that to the new kid on the block called covid19, ans staying home now threatens our waistline.
Since the word “wellness” has become a big trend scaring the masses that love a margarita cocktail on a Monday (me) I’ve decided to keep it simple. To me wellness is all about finding a happy balance, whilst I have been known to indulge in comfort foods these past six months, I have also maintained a balanced fitness regime to try and counteract the countless soufflés and pasta’s created within my kitchen. Thinking of healthy habits as simple feel-good gifts to yourself, allows you (and me) to easily apply and incorporate these habits into everyday life without too much effort and stress.
1: I try to fit in at least 30 minutes of exercise each day – This includes walking the dog, running outdoors / on a treadmill or virtual workouts via my subscription at Centr created by Chris Hemsworth and wife Elsa Pataki. You too can join the tribe via the link here for as little as $20 a month.
2: I lather myself in SPF daily – Years ago SPF would never have been on my radar during winter or unless at the beach, fast forward to 2018 a few skin cancers later and it’s become a part of my daily skin regime. I have noticed such a difference in my skin’s appearance since applying a daily SPF rain, hail or shine.
3: I start my day with a glass of hot water – Nothing sets you and your digestive system up better than a glass of warm to hot water every day. The list of benefits is so long but here’s a short breakdown of a few

- Helps the body’s cells absorb nutrients
- Fights infections
IMPORTANT NOTE – Please make sure to test the temperature of hot water with your finger before drinking so as to not burn yourself.
4: I Generally Meal Prep On a Sunday – This is not rocket science I know but meal prepping in advance saves you time and money allowing for healthier meal options eaten throughout the day and served for dinner at night rather than last-minute binging fast foods and take away dinners.
